The culture typically lasts 4 weeks or longer. It's a 32 ounce container with cloth mesh lid for air circulation.
D.Melonogaster tiny fly reproduces very quickly
D.Hydei larger fly reproduces very slowly... culture is made with double the mix so it lasts to produce ample flies.
